Update.

Ok so it's been a while. A long while.
Update!
My youngest is 2 months old. My oldest turned 2 years old.
We held his party at a park, which was great. Except the bathrooms where locked... Why do parks do that? I don't get it. He had this super cute cake. Looked like mud and we added a Batman Monster Truck and a trophy. (The theme this year was Hot Wheels/Monster Trucks.) Everyone else received cup cakes. Saved us time from cutting cakes and such. It was also my cousins 15th birthday. We, as Hispanics, call it QuincesaƱera. So we all had a cup cake war. It was a lot of fun. A lot of kids went, which really showed me that my Batman has a lot of friends. He got a lot of toy cars! Like a lot. He already has 5 cases filled with them; I think we need to buy 2 more.
He's growing up so fast. He can almost put sentences together. He may seem like he's behind a bit in speaking, but doctor has told us that for a BILINGUAL, he's very advanced. Which makes me smile hard. I love hearing that my son is doing such a good job in things.
Living situation is that same. I still live with my mother. But my brother will be moving in as well. That means his wife, his baby and him. It's going to be a full house! We'll manage. We will try to move out by the end of the year. My husband and I are guessing he's not getting the job out of state, so we will be staying here.
Well, I'm going to try to write more often, since I'm getting used to the new schedule with the baby and big boy.
Thanks for reading!

Much love,

It's been almost 3 weeks

He's so beautiful.
He's healthy.
He looks so much like his older brother.
They're almost like twins! It's crazy.
People keep telling us, "It's because they're close in age."
Maybe I just make beautiful children!
Ha! This surgery was different because he was breeched. It was intense. I didn't jump when they put the epidural in. That's what I was mostly afraid of. But the pressure of the doctors pushing and pulling was crazy. They were tugging and I was moving from left to right. It may sound over dramatic but when I tell you that it was even a bit hard to breathe, I'm serious. Other women can say, "Oh, it wasn't that bad for me." Ask them how long it's been since they're surgery? Because mine was less than a month ago...
Recovery was pretty much the same for me. We were there for a total of 48 hours. My friend who had a regular C-section was there for 72 hours. So I'm thinking I was a trooper. I tried not to complain a lot. But I still made it known when I was in pain. I just hate those pads though. Ugh. I was so glad to use my own. But the ugly underwear was a lot easier to use than my own.
Preparing ourselves for the stay felt like it took us forever. Thank god for me making a list. Did the hubby follow it? Of course not... But he can't blame me. My mother was awesome enough to take care of big brother for me.
Speaking about big brother; He is such an awesome helper. He LOVES his brother. So much. It's ADORABLE. He helps with feedings, diaper changes. He wants to give him kisses and hold him. The cutest thing was when the nurses brought little brother into the room. Big brother went "Mine!" He even got to hold him that same night.

Ok so that's enough about that experience for one post. WARNING: There will be more.
Much love,

Homemade Playdough!

My son and I decided to make play dough!
It was too fun. The process of making it and playing with it. He helped me stir the ingredients and get the right consistency. He couldn't help me when I had to cook it but he helped with kneading it.
Once it was done my husband said we needed cookie cutters. But for what? I guess I didn't remember playing with play dough lol. So he can make shapes of course!
We've had the play dough for over a week now. They have gotten a bit hard but not a big difference at all. Just knead it a little bit and it goes back to soft!
(This is how it looks when you combine all the ingredients together. The bottom pic is with the food coloring and while it was cooking. It starts to clump up.)
Well husband, we don't need cookie cutters! He has these awesome shape toys. You know, the ones he has to put in the box by inserting it in the right shape hole. We used those and they're exactly the same!
Cook is in medium heat. Yeah, I said "cook it." It will start to "clump up" and have little clumps and balls and then it will be one large ball of play dough mess.)
This picture has both a kneaded ball of play dough and a ball of play dough needed to be kneaded.

I put them in these air tight containers.
Our "cookie cutters." I sure showed him!
It makes some soft play dough. My friends and family are amazed! We're thinking about making some more for my son to play with and possibly for his birthday as party favors! How fun is that!

Here's what you need:
1 cup flour
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup salt
1 tablespoon cream of tartar
Food coloring

Combine all ingredients in sauce pan. Does not matter what order. I put flour, water and salt first. My son (with a little help from dad) poured the vegetable oil and cream of tartar. And dad added the food coloring. Mix it together until it almost gets to a liquid consistency. Then put it over a medium heat and it shall clump up. DON'T STOP STIRRING! It will clump up to a ball and that when you start kneading it. Of course let it cool down a bit. But while it's still warm, knead it like bread! Stop kneading once it's completely cooled. Once your little one/s (or you) is/are done playing with it, just put it away in a container.

Hope you like it as much as we do!

Yeah I know...

I haven't been on in a while...

The last couple of months, both my hands but mainly my right, have been swelling up a lot! I thought I wasn't drinking enough water, raise my hand above my head. I even had to stop wearing my wedding ring! I spoke to my doctor... Carpal Tunnel :(
GAH! WHY ME! I didn't know it hurts so much!
I can't open anything. I can't pick my child and hold him correctly. GRR!
I'm angry. But she did tell me that the symptoms might get less after I have the baby. I hope so. I really do.
We ended up purchasing one of those wrist bands with the metal thing to keep it still when I wear it. It makes it feel SO good!
Aside from that; It's been one week since my baby shower. And I'm ready for this baby to come out. And he will in two weeks from Tuesday!
So happy! I really can't wait. I wish it was sooner. I can't wait for my son to have his brother! His partner in crime! His side kick! It probably sounds like I'm more excited for my son to have a little bro to boss around lol. But I'm just so happy!

I'll keep you posted!
Much love,

And so it begins!

 POTTY TRAINING.

I've read all those blogs about tips and stuff on how to make it easier to potty train you child. I read them with care. But what I noticed is that they were potty training girls. So I continued my search for potty training boys. But then the boys I read about were around 2 1/2 - 3 years old. But my son is 20 months! He just passed the 1 1/2 year mark.
Why so early?
I don't think it's early at all actually. He communicates very good with us. Doctor even said that his vocabulary is great for his age. Bilingual children usually start putting sentences together a bit later than kids who speak one language.
But it's ok. I guess we are sort of going "blind" at potty training. I like it that way. We have a small set up for his potty training. He has this small step stool that has a pic of Mickey Mouse and the Club House friends. We move that to the sink so he can wash his hands when he's done with the potty. He has a couple accidents a day. We're using a chart. He gets to play with his toys as he sits.
We give him rewards, sort of. Sometimes he gets to put a quarter in his piggy bank. We give him high-fives. He gets hoorays and gets to flush the toilet! He gets to put a sticker in his chart.
We also bought this whale. The whale is a faucet extension so he can wash his hand. The cool thing about it is that it opens at the bottom so the adults can wash there hands instead of using a small stream of water. Well that silly whale is sometimes left closed... And me being an adult, I set that faucet to high so I can wash my hands. Turns out that the whale is pretty sturdy and can hold the weight of the water because I get hit was this nice burst of cold water.
That's also ok, because it doesn't just happen to me. Hee hee.
My son doesn't exactly like the potty. He sometimes lies about when he has to go. But it happens.
I do not know how those people on the blogs that I read can potty train their kids in 3 days. I know I'm a stay at home mom but gosh!

Well, that's what's happening right now...
Much love,

Look what you got!

My husband and I realized that baby #2 is 4 weeks away!
And since we're renting my mom's 2 spare bedrooms we decided that we need to start organizing them to fit a family of 4. We started with getting ourselves a bed. Gosh I missed it. We got an inflatable due to us saving up for that nice Cali-King bed. Tee hee.

Then we got our first born a "big boy" drawer for his clothes. We hang his t-shirts and blue jeans so it hold his undies, socks, pj's, sweat pants and the clothes that are still too big for him.
Here's a pic of dad building it with the tools he got for Christmas ;P

Here it is finished! AWESOME colors!
I went through all of his clothes to see which fit and which didn't.
His drawer is now located in the closet (which has no doors). His old drawer is now going to be his little brother's and has all of his old clothes. After the baby shower, I'm going to go through the clothes and see which ones I want to keep as hand me downs. We mainly registered for newborn and 0-3. I gave all of that clothes away because I thought I wasn't going to have another child!!!
It's ok, all is forgiven, because the clothes went to people that actually put them to good use!
I don't think it's wrong for my kids to use hand me downs. Some of the clothes were barely worn.

I know this; I dressed him up! I also started the vertical folding or filing clothes. It saves up a lot of space. I was thinking about putting his pull-ups in some of the "drawers" because there's a couple empty.
His superhero underwear!

We cleared up a lot from the closet. (That room used to be my room, back in the days before kids, marriage, and stress lol.) Once I moved out, it was left as a storage room for my mom. So we had to make room! My husband and I are currently in my brother's former room.
Our room is next. We started organizing it and made some space. Since the rooms are small, you can only do so much...
We also started potty training, but that will be another post ;)

Thanks for reading about my life!
Much love,

It's my birthday.

Yepp. This is my second birthday that I spend pregnant.
I don't mind it at all.
I didn't spend it at all. Uneventful up to now. I'm waiting for my husband to come home.

So to organizing.
I ended up making a MENU!
It's the worst menu anyone has ever seen because it has some blank spots.
But I think it's pretty good.
The food is awesome. So far (2 days lol) the food has been delish and no one has left hungry.
The menu has breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also snacks!
Honestly, I am very proud of my self.
The only sucky part about it is that we spent almost $110 for just a week worth of food.
But it starts us off and hopefully by next time we don't get to spend that much. I'm trying to make it a budget of $300 a month for food, but I have to realize that it's for 4 adults and a child. And one of those adults is preggers. It's looking like we will be spending around $400 a month.

We (my husband and I) have come to the conclusion that we will most likely be staying here (at my mom's house) for a bit longer than we wanted. At least until baby is born. Which would work out great because I have to have a cesarean :( I wasn't too happy about that. Everyone was telling me that it's a better way, that blah blah blah. Idk, I felt like they were just lazy and didn't want to have their kids natural. The doctor clearly cleared them to have a natural birth, but they wanted to have a C-section. Sometimes I feel like everything that is supposed to be natural is being made into something that is bad, for example, breastfeeding. The same people told me that it was not a good idea. If I wanted to drink alcohol I should not breastfeed at all. I breastfed my son, I drank once in a while, but I was not stupid enough to give him my tit right after I drank. I researched and asked questions. I wanted to have a natural birth with my first son, but I ended up having an emergency C-section because turns out, he was pretty much dying. I missed the natural birth mark by 2 months!!! Doctor told me that I would be able to give natural birth after my last C-section had healed 24 months. Well, baby's due date is at 22 months healed. So it's not necessarily considered "healed" because it did several months of stretching. And instead of being numb, my scar decides to start hurting on one of it's sides. Doctor had to have another talk with me about. He talked about a window. I'll leave it at that for your imagination to do it's best.
So yes, I'm very disappointed but after what happened to my husband's sister in law, we don't want to repeat what has already happened. Besides, if I really do have a window, I do not want baby to die, nor do I want to die. On the upside! We get to see him a week early (39 weeks.) This surgery wont be as bad as the last one. We wont stay in the hospital as long as last time (we tried to get induced and ended up staying 3 days aside from the 3 C-section days.) And we heard that healing is a lot better this time around, doctor still say 6 weeks, but from personals they said that walking was a lot better and so on.

Thanks for letting me vent. I had a lot of feelings and emotions pent up deep inside. My tummy has been giving me some pain the last couple day. He's gaining almost a pound per week. So I've been really bitchy lately. To everyone. Even strangers on the phone. My husband should be home soon, with some chocolate something! Hells yeah! This 23 year old is pretty happy, happy, happy!

Much love,
